Hi Shelly! Sorry, I'm having a little bit of a hard time understanding. Are you looking for work to do from home? Or are you just looking to discuss the benefits of doing so? Clearly it's a desirable career, it allows you a lot of flexibility and independence which are both highly valued especially by people who are caring for children, pets, or elderly family members. On the other hand, it can be very difficult to make a living with a work-from-home position and, unfortunately, work-from-home opportunities are just loaded with scammers looking to take advantage of any unsuspecting applicant.

Since WFH positions are so rife scams I generally recommend that people either focus their job search on on-location jobs if possible and, if not possible, begin their job search by applying for legit/well-known companies that have at-home positions available. Amazon and Enterprise both offer at-home positions and you can also join a company like Arise, which offers home-based call center positions, or sign up for an account with Upwork, which is a company that focuses on helping people get freelance opportunities and helps weed out the scams for you. Arise and Upwork do require a small startup or joining fee, but if you have the means to invest in it, it surely will help make sure you're not another accidental victim of a horrible scammer!
