Terminated behind Harness
So I worked at Safelite for about a year and a few days only to get fired for not wearing the harness correctly. It threw things into a tail spin. A few months later I was told that a former colleague had wrecked the company van and hit a parked car with people inside. He wasn't fired though. They claim I was fired for safety but hitting a park car and damaging/totaling a company vehicle while an elderly person was inside doesn't equal the same out come? Would this be grounds to get a lawyer involved? Also the supervisor was unprofessional and a complete asshole who seemed to have a personal vendetta. When it happened it was only me and him in the surrounding area and I've seen much worst get over looked. #Terminated #Fired
Probably not. Not sure that it would actually help. I understand it's a crappy situation with what happened definitely being more of a safety issue, but that's something they may have to deal with later on.
