Frustrated!!
I got laid off my job of 12 years. Leadership needed to cut costs and make changes. Some got affected including myself. My unemployment ran out at 6 months. So, here I am a struggling single Mother with one teen. It’s been almost a year now and only landed 2 Temporary positions. They’re waiting on my prints to come back, before starting. With over 20 years of experience I thought I wouldn’t have any problems. It’s sad..I had over 20 interviews, but was given false hope of hearing back soon. I never thought it would be this hard...I just need a good paying career job. Lord knows, I can’t survive off of minimum wages, not with high rent, bills and a kid to support. Although, I’m getting so..tired some how I refuse to give up.
When you work you should probably expect to receive pay and agree to do so. Correct?
Hello..I am sorry you are going through this terrible raw deal. When I read your story it reminded so much of me. These jobs always sending people who want to work on a goose chase. I have been looking for a new career, still no luck nor blessing. Just disappointments. The drive is still in me not to give up. Sometimes I feel I am running out of fuel. I don't know if God gave up on us or working on something new for people like us... Lord knows I need answer. Keep your head up and keep trying... Thank you for sharing because I thought it is just me.

Keep going forward. I was where you are a couple times single mom with a son to put thru high school. Apply for everything you can do. Something will work out and be better than before.
Don't you dare give up. Your purpose in life is connected to your disappointments. If you give up now you will never know what your TRUE destiny is. So what if it doesn't come wrapped with a bow. You're alive and there are plenty who would like to be in your shoes. Every question has an answer. Don't stop until you find the one that fits. You have the POWER to make it happen. Turn your eyes within.
Go to the employment center in your area. They are trained to help folks in need of a job. They also offer skill building programs and opportunities to help with on the job training.
Well I'm fed up to I need a good paying job. Every corner I turn I get turned down because I'm a felon they tell me my case has to be 7 years old some of them want it to be 10. How's a man supposed to make it if nobody will hire you my case is 5 years old. The old field used to not be like that but they are today used to go out and put your name up at the store and go to work now you got to be a college graduate they come straight out of school go out to a rig burn it up go to the next one
