Whenever I try to get a job, even if someone tells me I am one of the most qualified, they do not hire me. It is discouraging. I have applied everywhere and nothing. One place even told me they were desperate, but it has been almost two weeks.
If your qualifications are rock solid, but you aren’t closing the deal, it’s probably interview skills and presentation.
From your profile, it looks like you are young, so have someone 15+ years older conduct a mock interview and critically appraise your interview outfit. (Not your Mom, she thinks you are awesome!)
If you are in early 20’s make certain all tats are covered and that no visible piercings beyond one (maybe 2) small holes in your ears. Unless you are interviewing at Vogue, your hair should be one naturally occurring in nature- on humans. (Harsh, but good jobs are for grownups.)
I understand. It seems the jobs I really want are ghost jobs. Yet, the career I used to have and can't do any more, I am getting daily contacts for interviews and some job offers, only to turn them all down. I can only work from home now. No more door to door or B2B Sales for me!
