Foreclosure Motions Paralegal at Margolin Weinreb Llp

I received resume advice in the past that said you should only list the most recent job experience on your resume. I have been a paralegal for 13 years with the majority of my experience in real estate and real estate litigation. Prior to becoming a paralegal, I had experience in both the medical and in market research fields and need to know what is the best way to incorporate this work experience in my resume so that I can apply to jobs outside of the real estate and real estate litigation?

I totally agree with Mark's advice. All of your experience is relevant and beneficial to list, especially since it demonstrates experience in multiple industries. I would use those other positions to highlight specific experience or achievements that are different than your real estate experience in order to demonstrate the breadth of your skill sets.

Hi Barbara,

In my opinion, all of your experience is relevant. It shows your range and that you can take on different challenges in several industries. If you are looking to change industry focus, this will be a big help and can only be seen as a positive. I would make sure to include your past work. I hope this helps, as it's just my opinion.

Good luck! -Mark
