interview tomorrow at supermarket

I never worked at a supermarket before so I don't really know what to expect, what do managers or supervisors ask when interviewing someone for a supermarket groceries position, and what should I expect working there?

Hey Louise, I would add that you shouldn't be afraid to ask the person interviewing you about what it's like to work there. You don't have to know everything going into your interview. Plus, interviewers appreciate being asked questions.

Depends on the position... Groceries and Produce are mainly keeping the shelves stocked with merchandise and the area safe & clean for shoppers. Deli is serving customers (make sure you get trained to use the slicer). Meat department involves cutting and packaging meat all day. Cashiers ring up items and process payments. Prepare to be on your feet for long hours (get comfortable shoes) and learn where isles so you can answer customer questions. The interviews are basic but they look for availability and flexibility. Hope you get the job Louise.
