I retired my dental hygiene licenses in 2012. I contacted the dental board to see about renewing . I have to re-do everything from national level to regional board, to state level,again. I need to take a refresher course for local anesthesia, again. I have the abilities to do this, again. I am looking for a job and their procedures will take months and thousands of dollars. The Regional Board, alone costs $1400.00. I can't begin to come up with the money they are asking to do everything, again. I need to do another job. Dental Assistance even need to go to school and be certified. That is why I was looking at Pacific Dental to do treatment planner or do front desk. I still can do everything in an office . I would be breaking the state law to do the duties of an asst or hygienist. I would be breaking written laws. I did dental hygiene for 37 years ,I have administration background ,and sat on the Arizona State Dental Board as a certified dental consultant for five years. I did as we were told to do....."I reached for the stars". I have tried to taylored my resumes to the jobs, and I still can't get a job. I am totally discouraged..... Now you know why sending me dental hygiene jobs won't work, thank you,anyways. I now have rent going up next month , no food, and I am not able to get help. I fall through the cracks, and always make to much money, but not enough with everything rising in cost. I have been job hunting for a year now. I am totally discouraged.
