Perhaps this is a way to get started (yes, I do agree, that starting a resume from scratch or revamping one that you have not update in a long time, is daunting): Just brainstorm in a document all the achievements you've had in the last 8 eight years, in both your professional and volunteer capacity. e.g. Sold out all inventory at 5 holiday art shows. I wouldn't even treat it as a resume yet, because it's just brainstorming! Then you can finesse your statements over time and also later put them into your desired resume format. Furthermore, then you don't have to feel like you're getting it right the first time. Writing a resume takes time, so I have found it helpful to brainstorm, construct parts of it, tweak it, and tweak again. You'll get there!
