So confused and feel hopeless
I have been applying for jobs on multiple sites. I have never had a problem finding a job as I have a lot of experience. All jobs are now requesting Bachelors degree with little or no experience. I have been working for over 30 years and have a ton of experience. I can see they are reading my resume multiple times on some sites, but I don't even get a call to possibly interview. The first question on the apply page asks, do you have a degree. There is no way around this question. My cover letter say I do not have one, but have all the experience and more than what they are asking for. I am however, getting SPAM emails about jobs. Yesterday's was the best. It was from someone named Anthony who works at Quarte Health for a job I applied for in NV. His email address however, was from jean@waccamawlandscaping.com. I asked why his name would show up with this woman's email for a landscape company when it was a medical company I applied to. He never replied. There are other companies that I get similar issues. I check out the company itself to see the job positions available and some don't have any jobs, but on the sites that I apply at show 10 for this company. I have gotten about 10 of these in the past few weeks. All asking me to go to Google hangouts.... Does anyone else get these???
....YUP !! ....we are All INUNDATED with that crap....feel Better knowing you're Not de only One....feel bad, however, because there's really nothin' that can be done about it---except Unplug the computer, and apply the Old Fashioned Way....but increasingly, even That Option is floating away as de Horse & Buggy...This Country ( the Whole World, actually ), is headed for even More unbalanced power & profit...and even simple things like mentioning GOD is frowned Upon---even though the God Family Made us & gives all of us everything we have....so your Post is just another, in a LOOOOONG Line of similar posts....and the longer you stay on these boards---you'll see the same question & Venting---on a regular Basis...
Those are mostly scammers looking to rip you off. I wouldn't do an interview on google hangouts. After a phone interview I would do a skype interview as a second interview option for sure, but I would avoid the google hangouts.
