Whoms At Fault?
I was injured on the job. I'm a mechanical designer and periodically my job does require me to go out to customers office & jobsite and and take field notes, and apply my notes to my engineering drawings. Being a contractor for various customers throughout the U.S. I must assist them in design & field work when ask to do so. I was told not to go out to the field by my doctor, so I did notified my customer (Engineering Manager) & made a copy of Dr's note so they would have it on hand. So the engineering manager told everyone, I had restrictions, by not going out to the field. So 2.5 months went by and one of the client employee's commented with sarcasm Why do we have this contractor here if he no longer can't go out to the field to assist us but he knew, that I had plenty of design work in their office, so he told the lead person of the department he needed me to got out to the field really quick. Which lead person agreed, for me to go out to the field to assist his employee. So being a contractor pretty much you must do what they tell you, if not you will hear it from your employer, as to why I couldn't assist our (MULTI-MILLION)customer. I know if I wouldn't have, I would not hear the end of it regardless my restrictions. Having said, this! I had a trimicular foot injury on my good foot, they had to call the ambulance out to the field, then the guy which I assisted in the field told he was not aware of my injury. He then began yelling at me! why I didn't tell him about my restrictions, in front of safety & rescue team which were assisting me on the ambulance stretcher. Making the story short. I had surgery, my employer wanted me to come back to work after two weeks of rest after sugery, because they had lots of work at OUR OFFICE. 4 weeks later, they told me they had no more work for me, so I was LAID OFF from work. Because they knew they weren't making any money me being at OUR OFFICE, so they couldn't charge our customer $175 per hr. so they were loosing money, me not being at customers jobsite. Layed off with no workmans comp. because I didn't follow Dr's orders. Know I have a very noticeable gait. My foot restricts me from lots of activities. I don't have the same flexibility anymore.

Sorry u r going through or went through that. U shouldnt have went cuz they found a way to get rid of u anyhow. God has a way of working things out! There is healing power in the name of Jesus! What about a new career? Something u can do at home? Convergys. Com is an at home job in which someone on here was hired and its not a scam.
Talk to an attorney that deals with labor law. You gave the employer your work restriction in writing. It is their responsibility to follow it. Looks like you may have a case for both your injury and wrongful termination. I’m not a lawyer but have seen this in the work place. Good luck
