Hello Everyone, so I had a big interview last week. I made it to several phone interviews and I had to do a demo via a webinar. I was told in my first interview, the top two candidates would go one for the demo portion.Out of the two, the top one would be invited to come to the office. I went in last Friday. The last question I asked was, when would they make a decision, the owner said, "when we find the right person and we are checking your references and background next week." Not sure how long all of this takes and I'm not sure if they call all the references, like my top three personal references to. I decided I not to bother my work or personal references to see if they have been contacted yet. I'm was surprised I made it this far! I was sure the person on the first call didn't care for me and I didn't care for him. Just my vibe. I did not know it was the owner of the company! I must say, it was strange interviewing with this person. He asked me what 25 x 25 was and I could not use a pen or calculator. Felt on the spot, in the end, told him I couldn't give him an answer, as I would want to check my work using a pen or calculator. Never had that question asked before! If I blew it over that, than oh well I did my best. As a trainer, I have learned you better know the answer or don't give one at all and you will get back to them. I guess I'm burnt out some with applying for jobs and interviews. I have been very close and yet, this is the closest I have been.
