Wondering...

Is it illegal for a previous employer to tell a potential employer the exact reasons for once termination?

They are not supposed to say anything that could potentially disqualify you from being hired

not illegal, but most employers only share start and stop dates, and job function. telling more might get employer sued, so why buy trouble when there is no real need to do so.

I believe what you are talking about is black balling your/ reputation..I would wavt to know exactly what was said. It could be illegal unless you would say you do care,; contact a lawyer. not a job sight;

No, if you gave them permission then it's not. It's sad how some agencies don't give a f about your livelihood.
