They help others
Poverty hits close to home for me. I grew up very poor and when I was hungry and asked my mom for some food for dinner we sometimes ate nothing. New clothes for school? I was lucky I had them in the first place. My mom did the best she could for my brother and me. When I worked for Walgreens I liked that they ran National Red Nose Day (it's today actually) which is when we would sell those red noses that you sometimes see clowns wearing at kid's birthday parties for a dollar. Walgreens donates half the proceeds to kids in need from those sales. It helps all kinds of things like the boys and girls club and other important charities. It also gives them food. I always remember thinking I hope no kid out there has to go through what we did. I liked that Walgreens supported this. Every big business out there should. I always bought a red nose every year and I always will.

What a wonderful way to give back. We all should think of a way we can help someone else,if we are fortunate enough, because the sad thing is, we all have been through something that gives us a conscious to want to give back. Thanks to all that are able to give! Well wishes to caring hearts...

I have to pick up something at Walgreens today actually so I am going to ask about it.

The more people do to help each other out the better the world. Simple.

Sorry for what you faced, but I agree that charities like this are important. I saw something on Insta about it today.
One small act of kindness can change the world.
