I got declined a job as they said I was over qualified. Really. I need a job. Isn't being over qualified a good thing. Geez

Terrible! I am sorry that happened to you. Nowadays, having to much experience is considered a bad thing, it all about how you frame it.

So sorry that happened 2 you. The employer is thinking that a person who is over qualified won't stay long. The over qualified person will soon go somewhere else to a more challenging position and probably a higher paid position too.
