Can I get a sponsorship through a warehouse job?
I came to the US on a visa for school, but due to financial reasons I had to quit. I work at a warehouse, but do to my visa I will have to quit my job. I was thinking about asking my manager, if my job can sponsor me, but I am nervous. How can I go about this?

Armando, first of all you're not going to get a sponsorship for a minimum wage position: take the time and do a little research on the web, I mean come-on. 2nd of all assuming, you from somewhere in Mexico, South America, there are alot of US Companies operating in GDC, Mexico, why dont you go back to your country and start looking at the opportunities within? Myself included, Americans are tired of the paying the bill for illegals and that is what you are or soon will be!

The big question for me too. But I am a job seeker, not a student...

Hi Emilio: Definitely an interesting question! I think it's worth a shot to ask your manager, but keep in mind that employers have to go through considerable obstacles to sponsor a work visa. First, your employer will have to show that your job is in high demand, but there are no US-born citizens in your area who can fulfill that role. An employer might need to post your job for a set period of time to see if he or she gets applications from US citizens. If no one is qualified to do your job, you stand a better chance of getting a work visa. Your employer will also have to pay a considerable fee for your visa, so keep in mind that you have to prove you're worth the investment. Hope this helps!
People (job seekers/ Immigrants) come to your country coz of money rate or war. For better living. If the rate are same or country stable, people perhaps rethink to move to other country for / that "same" or worst than their country. ..>>hope this acceptable & thanks a lot
