My borther who is 60 years old has not been able to get a job either. the last 2 jobds he was on, he did very well. However, when the ecomnoy dropped, employees were downsizing, and he got let go. It's been a hard 3 years. He has taken on some odd jobs here and there, but they were just temporary. When jobs are shown on-line, it is so confusing trying to apply! You think you are applying for 1 job, and you get about 50 others popping up, and you seem to get "lost" with the application of the original job you were applying for.

Online applications can be confusing at any age for the same reason you explained. I suggest going directly to the company career page and applying to avoid unnecessary pop ups.
