Bad management
How do you handle this situation: I come from a medical background (hospital). I left after 7 years due to bad management. Well my previous manager was part of the problem. Now I have been trying to get back on at that hospital but different departments. I've applied to at least 30 positions that I am qualified for. So recently I received a call for a department I know a few people in. They vouched for me. The hiring manager went to my previous manager who told her I dont know what. But it got back to me I will not be getting a call back. My record is clean and shows eligible for rehire. Its something personal with this witch. What can I do?
It sucks when you have a bad manager. Must times they are only 2 choices. Accept the fact that they suck at there job. Take advantage of the fact that she can be replaced by you if you work hard. Or leave the company with a great recommendation that they can't take away from you. I am great at what I do, but sometimes changes are necessary.
Usually potential new managers are very understanding in these situations ( medical) it happens every day. Just the same, find another hospital. The stress and tension isn’t worth it in the long run.
It's time to move on to something different in tha field. Going a through a situation of an importance right now with a residence .being accused of something I didn't do.it can be cruel. Hang in there. Your not alone. I might not have a job. Prayers
there is one thing Ive learned in life and that is no one hates someone for no reason. i have learned that alot of people Ive worked with drink alot of hatorade.One thing obvious this boss has it in for you, this is where we have to rise above ignorance in the mist of immaturaty as long as you keep looking for a job it might not be a good Ideal cause the situation is still fresh try some where else dont give up
Don't go backwards ,God closed that door for reason he wants something greater for you,and that's a toxic place if your boss have that much power over the staff.
See if you can have witness attest to the negative comments and go over that managers head ,everyone has a boss or have a one on one with the manager and try to hash out the issue, weight out the pros and cons as in do you really want a higher ranking individual trying to get you fired the moment you make a minor error .Perhaps you should move on sometimes its not worth the head ache .
Reana Francois I was almost in the same situation like you. You can do better move on to another employment forget them. Make a fresh start for yourself. Do it for yourself not for the people don't appreciate you. Good luck and come back and tell us all about it. I will keep my fingers cross for you
It's time for some soul searching and see if you want to spend 8hours or so a day in that situation life is to short!
If you have that many problems there that 30 applications and no results maybe it's time to do some soul searching and see if this is the company you really want to be with !
First of all "bad management" is your opinion.You had a philisophical difference with management.If you were so right why are the other companies falling all over themselves to hire you?
