I was told that I am still a candidate for a position I applied to. After two interviews I heard nothing, assuming that I did not get offer. They replied that they had sent an e-mail out to the final candidates stating that the position had to be rewritten. I am wondering why would they repost position? If the final candidates are not strong fits, why leave us in limbo while reposting for more candidates?

Hi Moe, That's a tough situation, but it does happen. After talking with different candidates, they may have realized that they need a different skill-set or experience level for the position. I would be sure to follow up with them and see if you are still being considered. It's possible that they go back to a candidate they've already interviewed. -Mark
