Very disappointed!
A friend of mine has been trying to get me on his company for three years. I interviewed for a position three years ago and didn't get hired. Last year, he told me about another position and I applied and didn't get hired. The first of June, he called me about another position and this time he would be my boss. I had three interviews and still didn't get hired. He knows I'm qualified and I've been in this business for over 28years. I'm a person of color and I believe that's why I'm not been hired. We see it everyday, RACISM still exists!
This all is about luck not what you know

Think its less about race and more of who your friends are. I had a similar thing happen to me before and it was. The person whoo i thought was a friend but in the end there true colors showed. Very dissapointing indeed went above their head and got hired. I had to show them shit was gonna get done with or without them. My dad has always said "one week they love me..one week they hate me...both weeks.. I got paid." lol
If they are looking at your race instead of your qualifications then they dont need you. That is ridiculous I would not even go for another interview with that company and your friend isn't a true friend of he keeps stringing you along like that.

I've applied..applied ...and applied to many jobs and no response..get texts that go no where. No direct phone number to call back. Frustrating as ANYTHING
Don't jump to racism immediately. Not EVERYTHING is a black and white issue. That will get you no where. Sounds like you need a better friend. Let's try not to use race as an excuse for everything we don't agree with or feel is right. C'mon folks
