EEEEK I didn't know!!!!
I applied to Kroger. They asked me why I wanted to work there and I froze. ALL I could think to say was I wanted to save some money for college. Did I screw up??? : (

No you didn't. They need the help. Also they like fact that you want to go to college. Trust me I just left that job this week.

As long as your honest you will not regret your answer If they are smart they should Know you're going to be an excellent worker. You are working for yourself as well as them. Not letting yourself slack as you prepare for the future. It's a win for them and you! Best wishes, Ford

Well only time will tell, but most people appreciate honesty. That statement will probably get you into management! Good luck and God bless!

You didn’t screw up. This is a good answer (unless they had their eye on you for the CEO position and wanted you to stick around for a while). They understand grocery is a high turnover business.
Good luck

LOL.. We've all been there. Besides, no matter what brilliant answer COULD have danced off your lips, the truth is simply that we ALL work for the money. Don't fuss over it. Pretty soon it will be another Funny Story to tell!

I think interviewers, mostly, want to hear how good is their company though you might not feel too passionately about that. You might wanna try another job and this time show them how good is their company's name and that you want to be part of it or some fake comment like that.

Hello, I do not think anybody can live without money, but if this did not work next time add some philosophical sentence to it. all the best

No not at all good answer!

Hello, Anna, Your answer was good, freezing was not so good, but that doesn't mean you lost the job. Do call backs and let them know you're interested.
When on any interview, be clear about your intentions and make sure you let them know what your strengths are. Customer service, problem solving... and so on.
