Why

I find it hard to get a decent job, because of my past. I did my time in federal prison. I had several in person/phone interviews and; whenever the topic of conviction comes up, the interviewer lost his/her interest. Why is it so hard to give a felon a chance to prove that he capable of doing the job instead of looking a his past. .

Hi Eric: I'm sorry you're having trouble with your job search right now. A lot of Jobcasers have told us about similar frustrations with employers who don't seem to look past the felony. That's why I think you should consider working with employers in this list: http://jobsthathirefelons.org They're much more likely to give you a chance. Let me know if this helps!
