Wrongful termination
My boss at my last job working for kimmen installation came over to my house drinking one day. We began to talk about business and future jobs for the business. I then asked for a raise and he blew up pushed me across the living room and threw my wife into the kitchen. U tried to talk to him and him down and he fired me on the spot. My boss ( Larry Kimmen) is a lowes contractor for east Texas. Only seems to care about how much money he makes off of his sub contractors (which I was).

That is a boss you should never work for. As a matter of fact, he should have been arraigned or serving time right now. You should never have to take any abuse from any human being.

Sorry about what happened to you. I would sue him for hitting you and your wife. But truthfully the fact that you were drinking does effect this situation. Some people cannot handle liquor very well and he may be one of them. Either way I would apply for unemployment and then sue him for physical abuse..

Sounds to me like a possibility of a lawsuit. File for unemployment as well. He may not have to let you back to work, but he can pay you as if you were. It's not a good idea at all to mix business with pleasure, especially involving alcohol. You should see this as an opportunity to not be associated with him at all and you and your wife should file assault charges against him. Next time he tries to get a contract job, it will show on his record. Let him explain why it's there.

Try filing with the EEOC as well. I was wrongfully terminated from my position as a Nurse Manager almost 4 months ago and no one wants to hire me...they keep referring to the hospital on my resume because it's one of the top hospitals in New York City. I was hired to come in and clean up a unit because they made the last manager of 8 years step down to staff nurse. What the Director and Assoc Director's real plan was to fire me once I fixed up the unit, which I did. They reposted my position less than 3 months I had been there and lied and said they didn't know what I was talking about. My staff were the ones who alerted me about this and asked why I was leaving. I called the Director of HR who told me there was nothing posted. I went online and printed it out. The conspiracy continued. They exended my probation which was a warning sign then fired me 7 months in the position. I tried to contact a couple of lawyers but was told "If you're not in the union, they can do what they want." I am still in the process of looking for a lawyer. Do whatever you need to do to get this taken care of: EEOC, Civil Rights, etc. These bosses need to be fired.

You should have beat him to within an inch of his life.No jury in this land would ever convict you, especially in your home. Too bad he still has a business it could have been yours if you wanted it.Then you could have hired him and then fired his ass.

Total violation on 2 fronts: Assault (file police report/file civil lawsuit) and lawsuit with an employmen/NLRB attorney re unlawful termination.

Pardon my language, boss or not if he would've pushed me across the room at my house after I served him a drink,I'd have beat his ass. I don't care who you are,you don't disrespect someone in their place of residence.

I think you should have whipped his Butt and tell him how to show you and your wife a little respect in your house , People have lost Respect in this country , expecialy this young generation.

I would definitely would lawyer up. What your boss did is completely wrong. Not only verbally abuse but physical abuse too. I hope your wife is okay.
Police. Prosecutor. Lawyer. See all three, in that order.
