Has anyone heard of SYKES? Is the company legit?
The company SKYES has various work-from-home jobs. Some are seasonal but some look like full-time or part-time jobs. They do "group" interviews via a combination of a WebEx type application and phone. They start weeding out prospective employees by letting them know the commitment, shifts, pay, etc. Then ask questions that you use a notepad , then finally bring everyone back on the call & they call you by name to answer one. Based on your response, you are put into either a "congratulations" group or "rejection". Wondering if anyone has heard of them or worked for them.

But do they tell you that they are going to send you a pdf check and to go deposit into your own account and keep 50 dollars for yourself?

Yes that are a real company. I worked for them for 5 years. Good company, good, people and they have a benefits package health, dental, vision etc.

Yes Sykes is a real company. I use to work for them back in 2014. They use both a call center and work from home jobs.

Hi Vivian! I've done some researching on the internet and it looks like Sykes is a legit company, and they DO offer work from home jobs. They have an active presence online and have a lot of reviews on Glassdoor (https://www.glassdoor.com/Reviews/SYKES-Reviews-E5972.htm), Indeed (http://www.indeed.com/cmp/Sykes-Enterprises,-Incorporated/reviews) and they have a good website (http://www.sykes.com/sykes-home/) -- I think this sounds like a legit opportunity! But remember, even real companies can have scammers using their names, so remember the red flags that show you to avoid them:
- never give them your bank account info
- if they send you a check before you've even worked, BE WARY
- trust your gut! if it doesn't feel right, don't go for it!
Here's info on how to spot and avoid job scams: https://www.consumer.ftc.gov/articles/0243-job-scams. I hope this is helpful, and if anyone has experience with Sykes please let us know!

I worked for Sykes 2016 to 2020, and yes you can either be hired at a on site or at home based. They did merge with Sitel, so not sure if their interview process changed. But I was hired right away for the at home position, and they did have requirements on the home set-ups. They did offer certain equipment and phone equipment so you can receive in-bound calls. Ask questions at the interview to get updated information from them. Foundever is the new name for Sitel. You may start as a seasonal worker, and they may like your performance enough to offer you other seasonal positions or keep you on. Depends on your performance and attendance. I hope that helps you.
