PLEASE HELP...SEKING PROFESSIONAL OPINIONS ASAP!!!!
I have filled out tons of applications and I get the generic letter stating that if my skills and experience match the job I will be notified. II'm on every job board out there. I started out as a nurse for about 15 yrs then I had my own childcare center for as long as the partnership lasted for 2 1/2 yrs to assistant manager of retail and so I could be on the same schedule as my kids I learned to drive a school bus and have been doing that for 7 yrs. Am I just not desirable due to the diverse jobs or do companies see me as over qualified? ? Help from your professional opinions would be helpful. Thank you.
You will have to look at your resume and change it to make it more appealing. Also a cover letter with a explanation to you diversity and gaps will help.
Hello Elizabeth, Costel had some good tips. You want to make sure you are tailoring your resume to every position you apply for. You want to show the relevant experience you have. Then, make sure you are following up on your applications by calling the companies to check that they were received.
