Is it age discrimination? I have been on several interviews and even thought I had two positions offered 1 position just happened to get Frozen at the last minute and the other position keeps telling me your qualified and is one of our top candidates but we're still looking two more weeks

Hi Joyce: Thanks for posting such a great convo to Jobcase. While employers won't admit to it, unfortunately there's a lot of evidence that age discrimination is still VERY much a thing. I think a lot of times, it results from employers not wanting to pay more for someone experienced (which is crazy to me!)> I suggest trying a skills-based resume, instead of a chronological one - that way, you're showing off your skills without giving away your age. Also, make sure you emphasize that you're flexible and adaptable. Those are keywords employers like to see from older applicants. Hope this helps!
