Frito-Lay sales can be a pressure cooker of an environment. Weekly sales goals are extremely important. I learned the value of under projecting and over delivering early in my career, when a boss was upset that I did not hit my weekly projection. I learned that if my team was not able to hit a projection, that I needed to be prepared with a sales plan to make up for any sales missed. Once I understood the value of delivering sales plans, and relayed viable options to my teams, rarely did my teams miss sales plans.
