I am most proud of what I accomplished at my last position. Bankruptcy is a difficult time for most people and I had a knack for knowing what each client needed in order for them to feel we were the firm for them. I am no "closer" and I never looked at it as a "sell" I just made them feel comfortable and gave them enough information to decide. Sometimes we advised against filing. But I was able to tap into their personality and be what they needed, whether is was an ultra conservative, more laid back, sometimes they just needed a hug. I was the face of the company and every time I went on vacation or was away from the office my boss would call and say how the clients missed me and we had a few clients who would only talk to me. This city is very close knit and most everyone knows or is related to everyone else. I'm originally from Detroit so I have a little anonymity but it's the best feeling ever to hear "Ms. Johnson! Ms. Johnson!" being yelled through Walmart and somebody runs up and hugs me and tells me how much I helped them. Making it through boot camp at 36 years old is a close second!

I love people, so all the jobs I have had were perfect for me! In my job as a receptionist, I not only had the chance to be interacting with people who came into the office, but also the chance to improve small things around the place. I was able to make my schedule of duties efficient so that I could also help with extra needs around the office.

Freelancing as a copywriter! It's definitely scary to go it alone, but every accomplishment and victory is 100% yours. Freelancing or running your own business teaches you to be disciplined, focused, and on your game. If you're not, you don't get paid - simple as that.

I think I'd have to say what I left behind at my cafe job. There is of course down time that happens - especially in the winter when people don't want to be out in the cold. When I would run across time when all of my other tasks were done or couldn't be done until later, I always found things I could take care of. I would usually grab a rag and just start cleaning anything I could I felt hadn't been done in awhile. I also love organizing, so I would make sure the dishes and such where put away nicely and easy to get. I was hearing even a year after I left that the place just wasn't quite as clean once I left. Finding those little tasks that stand out was really great!
