What Do You Think and Why?
Should waiters and waitresses pool the Tips they Receive? Lately, this has been a Hot Topic. What are your thoughts?

If you agree with the other workers that money should be shared equally do it. You may be the best of the bunch and that's where it can get tricky.Ford

Absolutely not. You get tipped for good service. If you have to pool your hard-earned cash at the end of the shift, there is a high chance you will end up with less than what you actually made since poor servers have no incentive to get better and earn more to increase the share. It isn't fair to those servers who work hard and do well.

No, the server earned it, no one else did. I wouldn't share my fellow workers my paycheck if they don't earn the same as me.

I had to do this at the first waitress job i ever had. I HATED pooling my tips because i was the only one busting my ass while the others fooled around and did NOTHING!!

🤨It depends on IF your co-worker pulls their part of the Weight... AND They Have to A GOOD ATTITUDE!!

No pooling tips is bad because tips are an incentive to give great service. When servers pool tips they pay for other peoples mistakes. “ Voice of experience“

best nut to share skills very
Tip sharing seems to only create equally crappy service. If I have an exceptional server and want to give them a $10 tip on a $15 tab, I darn well want it going to that person. Tip is nothing more than participation trophies. We are seeing how well that has worked out.
