Should I even start negotiations?
I applied for a job I am well qualified for, as most of us have, hoping for a response. A local company has contacted me for a phone interview which I'm sure will lead to a more personal interview. The problem is...they have a really bad online rating, 33 reviews from previous employees (the most I've seen for a small company), 25% positive at best. Most reviews are sincere and show management has been reviled for several years. How should I acknowledge their response, check them out, weigh my options, without burning a future bridge knowing they MAY not be a good fit? NOTE: They are a subsidiary of a larger corporation within the US with a local footprint of just under 100 employees.

I think it's definitely a red flag and shows something is wrong. I would suggest to walk with caution, and really pay attention to what people are saying their reviews. See if there is a common theme.
