I retired from a social services agency 7 years ago due to health issues. In the last few years, my health has improved and I started an evaluation business a few years ago. It consisted of lots of travel throughout the Southeast. In order to make money, I found that I had to be on the road all month and work 7 days a week, 16 hours days. It took its toll on my health. I gave notice to my contractors in July, worked out my contracts and took a breather. I am now seeking employment in industries where I have never worked. However, I have great communication skills and the ability to problem solve. I am logical, organized and love working with people. I have narrowed the areas of interest down to editing, as I have excellent grammar and writing skills, having written many successful papers and grants; travel and tourism, as I am well traveled nationally and internationally and love the business of introducing people to the wonders of this world; customer relations, as a person with a doctorate in Business Psychology, and a Masters in Counseling, I can talk to people, solve problems and diffuse heated situations. I would prefer to work from home remotely and would prefer to work as a contractor versus an employee. However, I would consider working in either capacity. What do you recommend?
