A stressful situation I had at #Ambassador was when

All situations are stressful, no matter how you wish to look at it. DV is not something many of us wish to speak upon, nor is it someone is proud of. But one incident comes to mind....this situation involved human trafficking. For those that aren't knowledgeable, human trafficking has now become the number 1 form of prostitution today, and many young women are being taken to different parts of the country to sell themselves at the hands of an aggressor. My husband worked as security for a hotel, and I happened to have stopped by to see if he needed anything, and as he and I were standing in the lobby talking, a gentlemen, I will say this gentlemen was in his late 50's early 60's and he came to get a room at a time I found to be strange, but hey whose to say he could have just need to stop to get rest, but then again, why this hotel, in this area, and your white in an all black community? And did I mention his attire also swung me to the left, but I continued to talk with my husband but kept an eye on this man, he just didn't fit. Something in me made me uncomfortable so I asked my husband to step outside, and that's when I noticed the next thing that appeared odd, a young lady in the front seat totally incoherent, that pulled my antennas and I said to my husband something isn't right with this man and this young lady, my husband on the other hand thought I was feeding into it to much, but these are the things I was trained to pay attention too. What really made me realize this man was about to rape this woman was when I saw he carry the young lady to the room he had just purchased, now I knew what I was seeing was accurate, and I did what I am designed to do. Long story short the young lady had been drugged, the ambulance had given her some form of shot to reverse he affects of the drugs she was on and I rode to the hospital with her, performed as I was taught, and we had the man arrested and placed in jail. Just one of many stories I can tell, and this is why I do what I do for FREE...the passion is within me, and I thank God daily for the choice I made when I was being abused. No one deserves to be talked o any type of way, no one has the right to put a hand on you, and no one controls you but you.
