Still looking
So I retired Friday. I am having the hardest time finding a new career. I don't fully get it. I have 17 years experience working with the Army but, trying to parle those skills into something civilians understand is hard. I have an active DoD clearance and helped the Army develop Electronic Warfae training and systems. I am a communications expert and don't mind going to austere countries. I have had a few interviews and often I am over qualified or not technical enough. The Army left me with little but, I am on a time table here. Quite frustrating to say the least.

Definitely give it some time. Follow up on everything you submit. It sounds like you just started looking for something new, so take a deep breath, take it one day at a time, and keep looking.
First and foremost, thank you for your service! It sounds like you have a tremendous background but are just having in challenge in finding the right fit. I took a look and found the links below for veterans looking for jobs: https://www.vets.gov/employment/ https://vetready.org/jobs/ http://vetjobs.com/ https://www.usajobs.gov http://www.military.com/veteran-jobs http://www.hireveterans.com/
I hope this helps and good luck!
