Part Time Key Carried at Dollar General

I worked for DG as part time key carrier. A opening came up for full time and they brought someone else in. Them the manager and asm quit and the new manager came and kept saying I wasn't train right. They just wanted me out so I quit. Before I stared DG I was lead in shoes at Kmart so I new how to set ad and stock. DG is a joke on work.

First thing never put in a notice unless your actually ready to leave. You should either being looking for a job activily or make a plan to actually part ways after you have enuff cash to live on for 30 days. All of you need to keep in mind. Most all states don't require you to leave a notice at all. Most states follow "at will" that means you work and stay "at will". Don't let any employer bully you into believing you have to give notice, they in turn are not allowed to ask whether you have any notice. A job reference is only allowed by law to ask when you started and when you departed. That's it. Think about it. Has any employer in the history of any of your jobs ever said" were gonna term you in two weeks, just wanted to let you know" ?. Never.

Hi Kalie: One of the best ways to get a promotion is to take this approach: talk to your manager about potentially getting a raise, and at the same time, look for new work. If your manager doesn’t give you the raise, you can always see if you make more at another company. Remember to show proof why you’re worth the raise. Talk about how successful you’ve been and how you’ve helped the company grow!
