It is a hard work, but there are lot of nurses that works until the age of 60 or more, and is just simply very few jobs this days. A lot of competition. I myself did not have a job for a while. Good luck

If you sent that last message to me. I'm answering you this time. I just wanted you to know you need to live what you are doing. You don't need to feel shame. You need to let your heart stand up and just love people. If I hurt your feelings then I'm sorry. But your feelings are gonna be hurt a lot worse than this in the nursing field. Love it and be happy.

I usually don't respond to these posts. I had to this time. I too have been in nursing 30 plus years. I started as CNA THE LPN THEN ASSOCIATES DEGREE THEN BACHELORS DEGREE. I loved every position I was in. You have to love it to be good at it. I do have concerns about you not because of your race but the image you put out in your messages. And to the CNA who said nurses are lazy. You are mistaken too. You can't classify all of a race or profession as being anything. I have see wonderful nursing assistants and wonderful nurses. I've also seen bad ones of both. Same goes for races. Don't judge us all by a few. That's the main problem with America today.

We went to school to be CNA's. Ive have 23 years experiance certified in CPR, CPI. What bugs me l moved back to my home town from Cali. Im now going on 6 months looking for a job!!! And no luck yet

2 of my sisters are CNA , and were native American !

I couldn't really tell you if it is true or not. I can only tell you my experience. I live in Monterey, Calif. and I recently had Lifesaving Surgery on both my legs. Around here we have many elderly care centers, and I was placed in one to recover after surgery for 4 months. I met several CNA's during my stay, 2 of which were Native American. I saw first hand how hard they had to work with some of the patients. Many really didn't have any of their mental faculties anymore, and it was really difficult to witness what these ladies had to endure just to help treat these patients. These 2 ladies were as sweet and caring as could be and still were yelled at, swung at, attempted to be bitten by patients who just didn't know any better. I now have a whole new respect for these CNA's who can do a tough and demanding job, that gets little respect, and still know they are there to be caring for those who really need the help.
