Did you do what was right?
MLK day is coming up soon and it has got me thinking about those who do what is right.
A few weeks ago as I was getting off the train my keys fell out of my pocket and due to the lack of sleep, I didn’t even notice (#momlife).
I would have traveled for an hour and a half without them, rushed over to the car and then realized they were gone. My baby would have been waiting at daycare and I probably would have cried.
...but instead, someone on the train did what was kind and right.
They yelled out to me, and as I turned they smiled and said: “You might need these!” I told him he had quite literally saved the day. He could have just as easily looked away and let the doors to the train slam shut behind me but he chose to do what was right.
One small act of kindness made the largest difference.
So…

I can remember a time when we didn't have Martin Luther King Day. African Americans have come a long way.
We have Stacey Abrams, who should have been Georgia's Senator, Michelle Obama, whose book I love, not to mention President Obama, the most decent person since Martin Luther King.
To put up with Donald Trump calling him an immigrant and laughing about his birth certificate not being real during his 2016 White House roasting President Obama has to be a decent soul.
And boy was he forward-looking. Martin Luther King would have loved President Barack Husein Obama.

I had a customer who had a watch that was at least $75,000. I didn’t see it until about an hour after he left. I went through hoops to backtrack and find his phone # called him he was hours away. Didn’t even realize iit was missing. I told him I would hold it or mail it whatever he said no I am coming back. He came back and gave me $300.00 Another time I was robbed on a train not held up but a brief case with all important financials were there. I was applying for an apt. A week later even though I cancelled everything someone had returned it and the money was still there not a lot bit still. One more, this guy was a creep. Shopping I found a purse in a shopping cart at night. I took it home to look for a phone #. There was over $300 cash, heeen cards for the women’s help evey cc known to man it would have been a real pain to get those documents back. I called met her husband actually drove to his house he didn’t even say thank you. See how different people are?
I am the type that does what is right. Just not the type of person that tells my right hand what my left hand did.
