Yes a few tips... First off, appearance. When i'm conducting interviews I start off by looking at what you are wearing, do you look professional? Are your clothes ironed? (You would be surprised how many people show up with wrinkles all over.) Are your shoes tied? (Attention to detail) Have you shaved? First impressions are everything, you really don't want the interview to be over before it even starts. Now the interview itself... Come prepared! Of course they are not going to tell you ahead of time the questions they are going to ask, but do your homework on commonly asked questions and have your answers ready. A few of the common questions that I ask are, "What is your interest in this company?" Or "Why do you want to work for us?" You would be surprised how many people choke on that question. Another question where people have trouble with is, "Tell me about how you achieve the goals you set for yourself?" Knowing a lot of the answers ahead of time will help you reduce the "Ummms" as you are trying to think of a good example. Also, know your resume front to back and have examples in your head of everything you have on it, more than likely you will be asked a question or two about it. Lastly, RELAX, it's not an interrogation they are just trying to see if you are the right fit for their company and if their company is the right fit for you. A little preparation will help you go far in that interview!
