Diligence and integrity
Hello community, happy holidays. I'm sorry but I am going to have to say that I have never been so frustrated in my life. I really figured that I would have landed a job by now. I have been applying to many jobs, I have come into many stumbling blocks with the online application process. I go to a job I want to apply to, and then it takes me to like indeed, Snagajob. I also have a felony on my record. I am not a bad person I made a mistake in my life. In fact, if you want to get technical I had a possession under a gram charge. I chose to cope with my problems like most of Americans still continue to do nowadays. I changed my life, got the finger out of my butt, and decided to you take a really deep look into my life. My priorities are change now and they are just very different considering I have a child. I also do you not want to waste my life anymore with drugs. I feel like I wasted a lot of time, using them to cope with problems. Even though I have a possession under a gram, I tell the truth, I have background experience, in fact almost 10 years at one job. I don't feel like I'm trying to apply to jobs where they are unreasonable. I choose invalid places that I feel I can get hired to. I mean I speak 3 languages, I have many tificate, I know how to use many software's and sadly I feel like because of a past mistake I made in the past, I'm going to be struggling. Only because I know how to make fast money, and I choose not to practice old Behavior. Meaning getting money in illegal gain. I live in Lago Vista which is 20 miles from Austin Texas, if there any job Seekers out there from my town I would love to know if there is any places you would suggest for me to go and apply oh, I would be eternally indebted. I'm old-fashioned, and a hard worker. I just need a chance.

I'm also currently divorced, No job! I have 28 years running my own business. believe me I've made mistakes, but from these mistakes, I firmly believe I've learned more than any college could have tough me with there over inflated tuition.
So this puts me in a situation to help other small business, because we need to become stronger as a group regardless of your business. I feel pretty firm that I can be and asset to this cause. I've always been a thinker. Not sure how to do this, but many minds can be extremely strong. If you don't judge, that's Gods job! So Jill I'm sure you can do what you set your mind to. Fuck drug charges. If your life is in order now go for it. I'm looking for like thinkers on this lets get all the thinkers and get a plan to be strong WORK HARD BECAUSE WE CAN, along the way lets help people down on there luck. that's God speaking through me. So what can we do???? enough minds the better we will do !!!! Send me ideas let your mind open up! No matter what mistakes you've made in your life!

Jill, I am dealing with the same thing. I have a felony and have been denied three jobs yesterday because of my felonies. I have a degree from Purdue University with a major in mathematics and a number of years experience .I had interview with Honda manufacturing in greesburg, Indiana and it went well. I will get a call this week from HR lady about the background check. I have interview with Ford motor company in Plainfield Indiana as well. All you can do is be honest and tell them the good things I have done while in prison. I truly believe that God is going to open a door of opportunity for you. Hi, I do not know your name but, their are places willing to help you . Goodwill , get into their job placement programs because , they help people with drugs and convictions on their record. I say this, you were on a job for 10 years?. These are one of the questions , they will ask you , why , or what happens ; so be ready. Ramona

You've answered your own question with your post heading. If you apply due diligence and integrity, that implies that you are not letting your past define who you are at this moment. You are moving forward Life is an evolving process. Trial and error-a lot of error! But we learn (hopefully) from our mistakes so as not to repeat them. It sounds like you're practicing that. Hang in there and persevere. Tenacity and resolve always pay off in the end. I do agree with another post that you might consider another profile photo. First impressions are critically important in the job market. Best wishes.
Keep doing the the positive affirmations the way you have been doing and don’t go back to your ways of doing negative things. Somewhere and somehow you will get a opportunity for employment that you will have as a job to be hired.
