My biggest frustration is getting past the Automated Tracking Systems. I am applying for jobs I know I can do and even jobs I want to do but the resume systems causes me to fall through the cracks.

How about popularity? It's your hometown. Everybody knows you. Your reputation is to be a very hard worker. Smart and motivated with blessed family. How do you see me? I wouldn't drive a Mercedes to a entry level position.

biggest frustration is speaking with potential employers or recruiters on the phone and they say they will get back to you and never do... what happened to customer service?

Well I usually go in for an interview and I think it went well and they tell me that I have all the qualities they're looking for. Then they say they'll call and I never get a call back. Or I have even been told that I'm over qualified.

Hi Andrew,

I totally understand your frustration. Unfortunately less than half of candidates receive any type of follow up from companies after they apply. I recommend trying to find someone at the company you are applying to who can make an introduction or provide you with the name, email and possibly phone number of a recruiter or hiring manager so you can follow up with them.

Sometimes companies put positions on hold so it's not always the case they have hired someone from the position. Don't get down on yourself. The best course of action is to try and have a contact at the company so you can follow up and get a status update.

Jessica

Good Morning! One of the biggest concerns from recent post I've been reading from members who attain their Medical Assistant certificate but can’t find work because the have no experienced in that area. The occupational outlook states that this is a growing industry but there’s not too many entry level positions. How should a recent graduate approach getting a entry level position as a CNA or CMA?
