I just got a ticket that makes three in a year.I was doing what.I was told to.run a ten he route in seven hrs

find a different job. sounds like someone was either an idiot, an a* or all the above. you did the right thing.

This is the reason right here! Thank you! Listen up these trucking mangers need a clean sweep with all the recent deaths and accidents they should not be sending out drivers that are too tired to walk let alone drive and then act as if its the truckers fault. thank god you didn't go out that night someone could have lost their life! THANK YOU SIR YOU DID THE RIGHT THING! THAT MANGER IS THE ONE WHO SHOULD LOSE HIS JOB FOR RECKLESS ENDANGERMENT!!!

HI, Keeping nature of your work as a driver in view I can very well understand ,one cannot drive the truck with out break but as for company is concerned . One has to drive minimum of 800 KMS & 10 Hours of drive in order to reach the destination as per commitment given by your company to the customers . you could always take a break for a couple of hours to recharge yourself to be able reach the destination just on time . In nay which safety and life is first, the time lost on sleeping can be covered by driving without any break in between . you may ask the same company to reconsider your job back as a drive , they will consider if you have not bad remarks on you.
All the best . Ramesh.

Depends on what time you were supposed to run your load. If there was time for you to sleep in between the times you dropped off and were supposed to pick up, it would have been your responsibility to get some sleep. If they were trying to make you leave right away im sure thats illegal and you werent wrong. Just depends on the whole situation.

Damn thats a tough one man. Id get legal advice to research your rights. If that opens any doors run it with it. Talk to OSHA as well. If the company violated any safety rules or laws they were supposed to follow then you can definitely sue for wrongful termination. Good luck man

They dont preach what they teach. Were you wrong....In the eye of a big corp...yes we are dispensable

Your right, safety does come first. Your boss it wrong, you did the right thing and called in. You can take it up to the corporate if they have one, and let them know what's going on. Apparently they don't realize that it's a matter of life or death if you went out as tired as you are and an accedent happen. Worse case scenario, you can always get a better job, can't get another life. Good luck and God bless.

Perfect Juan
Sounds like a lawsuit for defamation of Character if you win the suit they will have to remove the filth because you definitely were blacklisted
