In-person Interview Today - Nervous
I have an in-person interview this afternoon and I'm nervous. It's a panel interview which means a couple of people will be in the room at the same time asking you questions. I've tried to prepare the best I can but I've never done a panel before. I'm currently unemployed (I resigned a horrible job) and really hoping I can find something before we head into the holidays. That's usually when companies tighten up. I have anxiety which is not making this situation any better. Trying to keep distracted and focused. Hopefully won't mess it up!

Hi Chris T
Interviews can be very stressful! But YOU'VE GOT THIS!!! Before you go to your interview, be sure you've done a much as you can to prepare.
Look up background of the company and if possible, the folks who will be interviewing you! Be comfortable with your resume, and be able to confidently and concisely walk them through your work history.
I have anxiety myself... have you tried deep breathing techniques? You can use Google to find a bunch of examples! I love practicing different techniques before a potentially stressful situation (like interviews!) Here's my favorite:
The 4 - 7 - 8 Technique
- Empty your lungs of air
- Breathe in through the nose for 4 seconds
- Hold the breath for 7 seconds
- Exhale through the mouth, pursing the lips for 8 seconds
- Repeat 4 times
Finally just be yourself and remember that you are a rockstar! :) Best of luck, keep us updated!
You will do fine, I recently had a panel interview over the phone for a different position within my company. I have anxiety when interviewing as well. They chose another canidate but the interview serves as practice if anything to help you overcome. The best of luck with your ventures
