James Morgan Account Manager 56 YEARS OLD Orland Park, IL 60462
What is one thing about your work that most people don't know?
I am a Business Account Executive for a Fortune 50 corporation and have been in the same position with one other Fortune 50 corporation and many other small and medium-sized sales organizations. The one constant, no matter the company, is the unrealistic goals and extreme pressure that is always present. I have been graced with superior hunting and closing skills, so have made a six-figure income for over twenty years but have still changed jobs over thirty times since graduating college in 1982 because of the tactics employed by management at sales organizations across the board that make these jobs miserable.
What makes you most proud of the work you do?
I am proud to say that I have always put the customer first, even though my sales to them have often turned out to be unreliable and locked them into contracts that they wish they were not bound to. The companies in the industries that I have worked in during my career are all running so thin that they put customer service and satisfaction last.
