These 2 words helped me lose family and friend ties, but also has made 2020 by far the best year of my life. Can these two taboo words help you?
Hello community, I can not express my gratitude for this community and all the helpful information and incredible people I have found here. I wanted to write to encourage you because even though I was laid off due to covid in May, this is the best year of my life. This is an all encompassing statement meaning I say this with considerations to physical, mental, emotional, family based and financial results. This is my first time experiencing this long of a stint with all around balance and success.
I’m posting this to share what has worked for me, but take heed what I’m going to say has broken uncountable relationships with friends and extended family members. The two words that have elevated me to a new level are, drum rolllll. SELF-ACCOUNTABILITY.
I know, I know, believe me I know these words are controversial. Especially after many arguments, being called many names and being almost exiled from my former circle. The truth is when you are elevated by the creator, some things, habits and people have to be shed. You’ll need the extra space to receive more in your life. If you are holding a loaf of bread in each hand you no longer have room to hold anything else.
WHAT ARE YOU HOLDING ON TO THAT'S BLOCKING YOUR ACHIEVEMENT? So let's talk about what SA is and how it can help you.
GOOGLE DEFINITION - Self-accountability or personal accountability means that you are responsible for your choices and actions. You are the first and last line of defense for your integrity. Self-discipline is your primary method for improving your life, pursuing good things because you desire them.
When you take on self accountability you leave behind the victimhood that now plagues your results. You will see your life from a clearer path perspective and can also move down that path with increasing speed with less hurdles.
For me, SA is about waking up “everyday” with a plan that ensures no matter how small the step, I take steps toward my best life. The second piece is the will power and integrity to follow through. Without SA, becoming a victim and stagnant is really easy. Victims have no power, they have walls blocking every direction which causes anger and eventually tries to force them to quit pursuing goals, dreams and even worse simple needs.
Beware of old ties breaking!!!! The first friend that was extremely angered by the thought of SA was an old high school friend. He strongly believes there are invisible barriers blocking his forward movement. I told him, I once thought that, but realized it was just a low energy way of thinking. There are hurdles on all paths but no permanent blockades. He told me his situation was because of others and without a third party helping him he didn’t know how his goals would be reached. I reminded him of the opportunities he has squandered solely with no help from barriers. He turned down a job I offered him, paying him more than he had ever earned, he refused my help and the help of my tech team when he was seeking to create some online tools for career exposure. He turned down an invite to an accountability group to support his goals and keep him on task. Just this year I offered him a simple way to make $100 daily before he went to the job he hated. He said he would consider the path once I made $500,000 doing it. HAHAHA. All of these opportunities were lost and that's just the ones I know of, he has allowed fear and victimhood to block all his forward movement. Don’t be this guy, know the truth that you have all the power and capability you need to reach your goals. Here is how.
Increase SA, Move the needle on what you believe you are responsible for in your life. Start with one day of claiming that all that happens to you is a choice and look for the ways you can see how you had a part in what happened. For a regular example see how your time not spent preparing might have played a factor in the last interview not working out. For an extreme example, see how leaving at the time you did had correlation to you getting in the car accident. This practice over time will train your mind and spirit to feel more energetic, capable, powerful and confident.
Avoid groupthink and physical Identity based ways of being. This is important especially during election years. Take time to determine what you believe in your heart, beliefs that aren’t tied to the physical. Look to grasp thoughts that feel good and aren’t held just because you are a man, or a woman or of a certain racial group.

I applied in May and I didn't hear nothing or get any correspondence from unemployment....It stayed only pending but I could see that i had a weekly amount. So in July I kept calling and calling to no avail so I wrote the Ohio state representative, nothing for 2 weeks..I wrote the Governor office of Ohio and in 2 days I got my full back pay of direct deposit
