Do you think this Under Armour ‘Band of Ballers’ T-Shirt is Offensive?
#UnderArmour pulled this t-shirt with an apology because of alleged social media blowup over its insensitivity to the #USMilitaryVeterans. I think it’s more a complement to #Teamwork best demonstrated by members of the US Armed services… What do you think?

No its not offensive

Yes..

Yes

This shirt is tasteless, tacky, and from a veteran standpoint, wholly offensive.
If they want to complement teamwork, highlight the Golden State Warriors, or promote volunteer groups that serve the community.

Under Armour made a poor marketing choice and I say kudos for them for pulling this. The raising of the flag at Iwo Jima represents lives lost to achieve a key goal in World War II and while sports often uses terms that related to battle I could understand why those who have served would take offense to a promotion that would appear to minimize that sacrifice. It is for that same reason that this image was embraced. 343 firefighters alone lost their lives on 9-11.
Our issue is our memories our short and the sacrifices which are made are too easily forgotten.

No I can't see that is what you are trying to show

Hmm....I can't decide I feel like I agree with the teamwork part.
No comment one way or the other.
