As I approached 50 years old I left a job and bought a really bad business -as it turned out- then went through 52 job interviews with no offers. Then I became a freelancer 1099 type and started using my skills as self-employed but began making more $ than I ever did working for someone else's benefit. Fortunately I did have the skills and education to do it. I finally concluded God did not want me working for stupid companies that could not see my work ethic or character.
