My boss is out of conttol
I've been at this, job for bout 5 months in a waitress been doing it since I was 15 now in 30s. The problem is he yells all the time like vein popping yelling. He calls us names. I've even been accused of stealing told them to view the vid on it. I get a text back saying that I was cleared of the stealing allegations. Now I made one mistake by not putting down how the lady wanted her steak done and for the last two weeks I been knocked down to 10 hrs a week. I've been told I habe to wear makeup to work which I do just not a lot. Plus I get i trouble when I tell him it's not ok for him to treat me this way. That he makes me feel like he's going to go off deep.end.and Do bodily harm sometime real soon if I still have a job that is

Pam:
Wow! I'm sorry to read the negative treatment your boss is giving you. Is there any way you can contact HR or is this boss the owner of the establishment you work for? There has to be someone above him that you can form a complaint to. You might also want to consider recording the type of treatment/retaliation against you (if possible) as proof of this treatment. It's unprofessional of this boss to speak to you that way, and there has to be a path to take to bring this to light. And should you find the right people to form a complaint, you can also still look for a new position.

It's not OK that your boss is treating you this way! You should definitely look for another job! Maybe even in a different field of work!! But make sure that you see yourself working there too. Good luck!

Sounds like this job is causing more grief than it's worth. You seem to be working in food service; there are restaurants all over looking for good help. I would start looking for another job. Not worth the aggravation

People like that always feel the need to be control all the time. You should take it to upper management if it keeps happening and try to find another job.
First of all girl, harassment is illegal, whether on the job, or anywhere else for that matter. Second of all, the Department of Labor has guidelines for all employers as well as employees. If I were you, I would go straight to your local Department of Labor and file a grievance or complaint against your employer. He cannot fire you and if he does, he will end up paying for it. He might be the owner, but he is not above the law.
