I got a job!!!
After 3 years of searching, being told I was over qualified, losing my home, having to send my kids to stay with grandma as I had to move back to the city. Living in my car and dtayong with family. I went through so many interviews, so many sales jobs that were presented as real jobs filtering through the 1099 jobs ( that do not provide a stable income and rent is very high and you can't even get a place as an independent contractor) I finally finally got employed. Not a sales job, not a gig, a real job! And to top it off I picked up a second job cleaning! Yes I am happy. I worked so hard for this. I will finally be able to get a place and have my kids with me! They aren't too far but 2 hours away is so hard on all of us. I didn't want them to bounce around with me and they are in school so I did what was best for them. The jobs are all in the city and anywhere outside with a half decent rent just doesn't have many options. Thank you all for sharing your stories. I didn't feel so alone. This last 3 years has been so hard. I had to move back and forth from the city and back with my kids while looking for work in 2 different places, but I never gave up hope, I never stopped trying. I want to build and give my kids a good future and a good present. I want to make sure I have assets so they will not fall into the financial hole that I fell into with no backups. I have had support from my family and friends. I look forward to these jobs being long term with good pay and benefits! I hope everyone who is looking finds the right fit. Best of luck to you all!

Congratulations. You must be in good health to work two jobs. I know rents are high. Have you heard of the Tiny House Movement? So many are doing it because they can save lots of money and live off the grid. Once you are settled in your new found work, try looking it up on YouTube.

Natasha, I am so happy for you lady! You are living proof that patience and tenacity pays off. You had hope and a purpose; your children being a motivating factor. We all need cheer leaders in our corner doing a rah! rah! ESPECIALLY for 3 long years. WOW you are awesome.
