ADVICE!!!
Does anyone know info. about swift program? I don't want top be stranded out of state, is it a good opportunity or not? Any info. will be helpful, I am tired of failed interviews & hopes! HELP! Ineed to work!

I assume by "program" he/she is referring to training to get a CDL, not just looking for a job. I prefer going to driving school so I'm not locked into a company. Many companies will make your tuition payments for you while you work for them. That said, nothing wrong with Swift and many drivers are happy in the program. The ones that aren't will let you know it because you are signing up for a job you can't quit if unhappy.

YRC Freight always been good to us

Swift has a bad reputation along with C.R.England. Try a smaller company, ie. Trans System, Inc.

We had swift drivers at Dollar Tree they were all very professional and hardworking. One thing I will say is that sometimes if they were running behind they would have to sleep in the truck at the shopping center since we were often the last stop

go to Roehl Transport

Actually that is a awesome opportunity for employment- but very challenging

Swift is as bad a company as you could possibly find.

Swift is a good company. I have trained a few ex-swift drivers. You need to buckle up, listen, and perform. When you earn the right to sit on the left, 1 year on the road, then you can set the rules, until then, you sit on the right, shut up and listen. That is my best advice.

The program is good but they will drop u in a sec make u pay 9000 for the testing
likewise if you go through swift you will be one of those starving drivers, my sister went through swift and they basically worked her into the poorhouse she was only making at best 2-300$ a week if she was lucky, and that was after swift got "their share". Find a school most are only 5-7 weeks and you will learn a lot better than you would from switf. Even after you get your diploma you will still need to work for a company as a trainee for 3-6 months but you will be paid on your miles and not owe them a damn thing....
