Hello All, I lost my job of 5 years on Aug. 2018. ( I worked their for 2 yrs as a temp they let me go and called me back and hire me permanently) I trained the new person for 6 mos. thinking we will be working together. After 6 mos. they laid me off and kept the trainee. I've been looking for work every since to no avail. I've never had a problem with obtaining employment. I've been on unemployment that is close to running out soon. Do they have unemployment extension? I've asked some say yes and some says no. I have over 20 years of accounting/ customer service experience. I really didn't want to admit to myself I realized ( I never really look a this) but I'm 56 years old and I read all the time that I may be facing ageism( what a sad realization). I live in Virginia in the Hampton Roads area, If anybody knows anyone that hiring in the area please reach out to me for any follows up.
