Hey Erika, Depending on what your job is, your family situation, and where you are traveling, can you take your family with for part of it? Maybe they can do some touristy things while you are in meetings and such and then you can still spend time together after. It could be a break for all of you to get somewhere new for a little while.

Hello Erika,

Technology to the rescue!

Social media (Facebook), Skype, and other internet connections can be great tools to stay in touch while you travel. It’s certainly doesn’t compare to being there in person but it’s the next best thing.

Plan some time together with family for when you get back. A cookout or movie night.

Safe Travels!!

Hi Erika! Traveling for work is hard when you are leaving your family behind. However, social media and email are great ways you can stay in touch. You can also use Skype, and have a virtual family dinner! When you are home, resist the urge to stress out over work and focus more on family time. It all comes down to making the most of the little moments :) Hope this helps!
