Application questions

I applied for a job in the field of my education and when it asked if I was convicted of a felon I left it blank. I normally write "will explain at interview". Is the latter the correct way about going about answering that particular question?

I've always put, will discuss upon interview. Especially if you can defend your actions or what happened. If you mark Yes, they will skip right over ya.. I started out at a small independent auto shop, the boss gave me the shop key in the first week. He said that he trusts me more than the rest, because all he has to do, is call my PO. Later on went on to work for Detroit Diesel, SPX, and currentally GM. So don't give up, if you try hard enough, you'll find someone that will give ya a break..

U should've just said yes if u were convicted. They still might consider your application though however they want applications fully completed and answered

That's a tough one! I would say seek companies who are felon friendly so you know you are not automatically disqualified.
